Bridgette has been involved in a leadership class with the City of Midlothian. Their class community project is to “rebeautify the downtown”. They are doing this through repainting of light poles, replacing and adding banners to the poles and planting flowers in pots, baskets, barrels, and troughs all along the main downtown street. It’s amazing what a volunteer team of 12, and with occasional help from significant others (spouses like Steve & children), can do with some donations, a plan, a short time-frame and concerted team effort. Even accomplishing a little bit, even a small project like this can make a big difference in people’s lives, uplifting their spirits, and stimulating their interaction within community…..restoring a stronger sense of community!
